Principal's Report EPS families will be asked soon to participate in the 2023 Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey (previously known as the Parent Opinion Survey). Each year the school conducts an opinion survey with the school community. While previously a random sample of approximately 30 per cent of parents/caregivers/guardians have been selected to participate, this year, all families are invited to participate in the survey. Principal's Report A reminder to any families with Prep students starting in 2024 that Enrolment Forms are due by Friday 28th July. Please contact the Office on 5968 4311 or by email : emerald.ps@education.vic.gov.au) to ask for a form. Please also contact us if you have any queries. It would be great if you could pass this information on to any families you know of who may wish to enrol their Prep child for next year. Families will be advised by Friday 11th August regarding confirmation of their placement at EPS. Principal's Report Welcome back to Term 3! I hope that all students had a wonderful break and it was great to see everyone back yesterday and ready to complete some exciting learning this term. Principal's Report Congratulations to our amazing Grade 6 students on their fabulous performance of “Island Rocks”! Principal's Report The mid-year Parent-Teacher interviews will be held next week on Thursday 22nd June. This is an opportunity for parents and carers to discuss their child’s progress and the next steps in their learning with the grade teacher. The interviews start at 9.30am and go through until 8pm, so there will be no classes on this day. You can book interviews via Compass now. This year sees the continuation of Learning Tasks as a vehicle for highlighting student achievements, and areas for improvement, around specific curriculum topics. Principal's Report Last Wednesday all of the Grade 3 students and their teachers and support staff made the short trip down to the Hills Hub to participate in lots of amazing activities all run by local community volunteers. Shelley Beardshaw from the EVA and Jessica Tannock from EPS  collaborated on this event together and brought it to fruition through lots of hard work organising the day, sourcing the volunteers and providing the resources. Principal's Report What an amazing weekend of stellar performances at the Hills Ukulele Festival over this past weekend! Seasoned uke players and new fans came to the school from near and far to see the fantastic performances and attend the wonderful workshops. Our own EPS Ukulele Orchestra were excellent, as were performances from some current and ex-students! Thank you very much to Dan MacEoin for co-ordinating this event, to Peta Woodyard for overseeing the food and drink, and for the many volunteers from our school community who gave of their time over the weekend to support the event. Principal's Report Many of us had an amazing time at the EPS Bush Dance over this past weekend. The Shenanigans Bush Band entertained us and got us all up and dancing. Both children and adults alike enjoyed the toe-tapping tunes. Thank you very much to Peta Woodyard, and her Fundraising Team and set-up crew of Olivia McLeod, Jason McLeod, Steve Woodyard, Narelle Oberin and Kylie Maes for all of their work in co-ordinating the event.
