Principal’s Report

We are looking forward to gathering after school this Friday to do some work around the school and spreading some mulch on the playgrounds.
A great way to be involved in school life and meet some of the EPS crew!
One of the main tasks will be moving mulch to cover the back playgrounds – so please bring along gloves, wheelbarrows and shovels/rakes :)

Also, shout out for someone to please help remove some graffiti from the wooden fence on the oval – most likely a large sander would work. If there is anyone out there who could help with that, it would be amazing!

We are excited to once again be hosting the Hills Ukulele Festival (HUF) at Emerald Primary School this weekend, on Saturday 18th May and Sunday 19th May. We will have lots of uke fans coming to the school from near and far to see the fantastic performances and attend the wonderful workshops, not to mention the involvement from our very own EPS Ukulele Orchestra! This whole event is co-ordinated by Dan MacEoin – thank you Dan!

Well done to all participants in the recent HPV event at Calder Park Raceway. Our Grade 6 Team of students stood themselves in good stead with excellent teamwork and learning the ropes in their first event for the year. The HPV events bring students, parents/carers and staff together to work as a team – a great atmosphere and experience for all! Thanks to Mr. Craig Appleby and the Grade 6 Team for their co-ordination and support of this event, and to the parents and carers who were able to help out on the day also.

The next Parent-Teacher Interview Day will be held on Thursday 27th June which is a student free day. It is a great opportunity to discuss your student’s report and progress. Please note the different hours for this event for 2024 – 11.30am to 6.30pm. Bookings will open in the next couple of weeks via Compass.
