Principal’s Report

We look forward to meeting our families at the upcoming Semester 1 Parent-Teacher Interviews on next Thursday 25th June, to be held from 11:30am – 6:30pm. Please note this will be a pupil free day at school.  This meeting with your child’s teacher is a great opportunity to:

– discuss the Semester 1 2026 report

– learn more about your child’s academic, emotional and social development

– make plans with the teacher about how you can both support your child.

As always, please contact myself or our Assistant Principal, Carice D’Rozario, if you have any general concerns or queries.

Please note that due to the protected action by the Australian Education Union, teachers who are Union members will not be writing report comments for the End of Semester Reports, as this ban is still in place. Overall progression points and the information from the Progress Reports for Term 1 will still be visible for all Student Reports. Please let me know if you have any queries.

Our final Whole School Assembly for the term will be next Friday 26th June at 9.15am.

Students will finish school on that day at 2.30pm.

Our Student Academic Awards ceremony for Term 2 will be held at the first Whole School Assembly back next term, on Friday 17th July.

As we move into the cooler months, we often see an increase in seasonal illnesses such as colds and other infections. Some students may be prescribed medications, including antibiotics, during this time.

We would like to remind families that any medication required to be administered during the school day need to be brought to the school office by a parent or carer. Medications should not be carried by students.

A Medical Authority Form must also be completed and submitted to the office before any medication can be administered at school. This helps us ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students and allows staff to follow the correct dosage and administration instructions.

If your child requires medication at school, please contact the office if you have any questions regarding the process or a require a copy of the Medical Authority Form or download it here.

Thank you for your cooperation and support.

Winter Reminder – Spare Clothes

With the wetter weather and our students’ enthusiasm for outdoor play, we ask families to please send a spare change of clothes (particularly pants) if your child enjoys playing in muddy areas. Having spare clothing available helps students stay comfortable and ready to learn if they get wet or muddy during the day.

We are also seeking donations of second-hand black pants that children have outgrown. If you have any suitable items at home, we would greatly appreciate them being dropped off at the office to help replenish our supply of spare clothing for students who may need a change during the school day.

Thank you for helping us keep all students warm, dry and comfortable this winter.
