Principal's Report What a busy and exciting few weeks we have had at Emerald Primary School! We have celebrated the joy of reading during Book Week, with students and staff getting into the spirit with wonderful costumes, activities and a love of books. Our talented students have also been busy preparing and performing as part of the State School Spectacular, representing our school with such enthusiasm and pride this past Saturday. Principal's Report This week we have been celebrating Book Week 2026 with the exciting theme of a “Symphony of Stories”. It has been wonderful to see students immersed in the joy of reading and storytelling through our amazing collection of CBCA books. We are looking forward to our special assembly on Friday, where we will be celebrating with our much-loved Book Week Dress-Up Day, which sees our students bring their favourite characters to life. Principal's Report A reminder that the due date for acceptance of enrolments is next Friday 28th August. We are excited to be welcoming our new Prep students as we progress the enrolment process for next year. We are currently finalising the Transition to School program which runs in Term 4. Further information will be sent to enrolled families. To get started: Visit https://students.educationapps.vic.gov.au/s/ to create an account and complete the online application form by Friday 31 July 2026.  If you would prefer to submit a paper application form, please contact us. Principal's Report Welcome back to another busy and exciting term at Emerald Primary School! There is certainly plenty to look forward to over the coming weeks. We begin with our Academic Awards this Friday, 16 July, recognising the hard work and achievements of our students. Throughout the term, we will also welcome Smile Squad, cheer on our Grade 6 students in Winter Sports, participate in the Australian Maths Competition and enjoy our always-popular Book Fair. Please note that the Progression Points on the Semester 1 Reports are based on data and evidence from the Learning Tasks completed throughout the semester, in conjunction with other pieces of the student’s work and assessments throughout this past half year. Principal's Report We look forward to meeting our families at the upcoming Semester 1 Parent-Teacher Interviews on next Thursday 25th June, to be held from 11:30am - 6:30pm.
