Principal's Report All members of the EPS community are invited to attend the AGM to be held on Thursday 28th May, 7.30pm in the school staff room. Our school is using an online system for new Foundation (Prep) enrolments to Victorian government schools, called VicStudents. Principal's Report This coming Friday morning, we are looking forward to welcoming local police officers to EPS before school as part of Walk to School Day. Students will have the opportunity to meet the officers, learn more about road safety and receive some fun temporary tattoos to celebrate the occasion. We encourage families to support students in walking, riding or scooting safely to school where possible. We have already had the Ambulance Service and CFA visit this week with the Prep students! Later this term, the Early Act Club will also be participating in “Thank a First Responder” Day. [...]

Principal's Report We have had some requests to run this session during school hours, so we are doing a repeat next Wednesday 20th May for Parents and Carers who will be assisting with PMP for Prep Students this term. We invite you to attend a Volunteer Induction session next Wednesday 20th May in the Library at 2.45pm. The Volunteer Induction Handbook will be distributed at this meeting and discussed. This Handbook will also be distributed electronically after the session to those who are unable to attend. Principal's Report As per the Compass message yesterday, our apologies for any inconvenience caused, but we have decided to move the Colour Fun Run from this Friday 8th May to next Monday 11th May. With heavy rain predicted the day before and on the day, and to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants, it has been necessary to make this change. Principal's Report It has been another exciting and active time at Emerald Primary School this week, with our Grades 3–6 students taking part in today’s Cross Country Run event and demonstrating great determination and school spirit. We also look forward to recognising the formation of our Early Act Team with a special presentation at this Friday’s assembly, supported by Rotarians from the Emerald and District Rotary Club. Principal's Report It has been wonderful to welcome our students, staff and families back for Term 2. We are looking forward to another term filled with rich learning experiences, strong community connections and continued growth for all of our students. We ended Term 1 on a particularly positive note with our EPS Values Launch, where we proudly introduced and celebrated our school values of Kindness, Respect and Resilience.
