Emerald Primary School was very EXCITED to launch the Let’s Talk Program https://letstalkprogram.org/

at Assembly on Friday 2nd May 2025. We had Jetha Devapura the Founder / CEO of the Let’s TALK Program visit us at assembly for the launch.

Omela H. and Albie W. role played a scenario of how a Let’s Talk Buddy may be able to support peers in the playground.

Monday 5th May our Let’s Talk Buddies started their roles in the playground and were there to help EPS students with any concerns to help them feel ‘Seen, Heard & Valued’.

We believe in our students and are proud to see how many children across Grades 3-6 that are keen to be peer mentors through our Let’s Talk program.

In our fortnightly Buddy Grade sessions both junior & senior school students will be learning about some topics to deepen their knowledge around social and emotional learning.

These include:

  1. Asking for Help.
  2. Tell when someone has a concern.
  3. Acknowledge the concern with gratitude.
  4. Being in the present moment
  5. Keeping in touch.
