Principal’s Report
Our Grade 6 students shone brightly at the first showing of their production, The X Factory. The matinee performance was a great success, with the audience treated to energy, humour and plenty of talent. With two evening performances still to come, we are so proud of our senior students and look forward to more families enjoying the show.
Last Friday we also had a wonderful celebration for Father’s Day. Fathers, families and special guests joined us for a BBQ, classroom visits, and a lively assembly filled with singing and fun. Thank you to everyone who joined in and made the day so special – especially Peta Woodyard for her oversight of the afternoon and Head BBQ Chef, Clinton Marsh.
Preparations for our School Fair are well underway. A huge thank you to Peta Woodyard and her hardworking team for their efforts so far. Special mention also to our resident artist, Kate Gordon, who has been supporting each grade to create their own masterpieces – these will be auctioned on Fair Day, and we can’t wait to see the creativity on display!
Our Student Action Team has been busy too, promoting R U OK? Day for tomorrow, and also preparing for our Sports Fun Day on the last day of term. Well done Mrs. Heyward and team! Students are encouraged to dress in their favourite sports gear next Friday and take part in fun fitness activities throughout the day. A gold coin donation (optional) will go towards purchasing sports equipment for each grade. Please note, school will finish at 2:30pm on Friday 19th September.
We are also excited to see the results of the efforts of our Early Act Team leaders come to fruition – with the installation of a drinking tap on the oval very soon! Thank you to our staff, Jacquie Forsythe and Hollie Boniface, along with Rotarians Kerith Cummins and Ali Bowyer, for supporting the students to make this happen. A shout-out also to the Loveless family for supporting this project,
Finally, a reminder to all families to complete the Parent/Carer/Guardian Opinion Survey by next Friday. Your feedback is valuable to us and helps guide our school’s ongoing growth.

SPORT DAY FUNDRAISER – FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 19TH
The Student Action Team have been learning about the importance of student voice.
Our team surveyed students from Years 3-6, analysed data, and discovered that students would like access to more sports equipment during recess/lunch times.
The first fundraising effort to support this initiative will be a ‘Sports Day’ on the last day of this term – Friday 19th September to raise money for new sports equipment.
On this day, all students are invited to come dressed in their favourite sport gear. It could be a footy jersey, a netball or soccer uniform, athletics singlet or even snow gear!
A gold coin donation would be much appreciated to support our cause.
We are looking forward to celebrating all the sporty things on Friday 19th September!
Thank you,
The Student Action Team
