Principal’s Report

A reminder that the due date for acceptance of enrolments is next Friday 28th August.

We are excited to be welcoming our new Prep students as we progress the enrolment process for next year. We are currently finalising the Transition to School program which runs in Term 4. Further information will be sent to enrolled families.

If you have submitted an enrolment application for EPS, you should now have received an enrolment offer via email, which needs to be accepted before next steps. If you have not received your offer, please contact the school.

What a wonderful day it was last Thursday! This is certainly a favourite event on the EPS school calendar, as we welcome all of our special guests to have a wander around our school, visit classrooms with the students and enjoy sizzled sausages! Thank you to Peta Woodyard, who co-ordinated the event to run so smoothly, her team of volunteers on the bbq, and to Kerrie Eva for her outstanding management of the Book Fair.

Please see attached some very important information in regards to protecting the health of a student at Emerald Primary School. Your support and co-operation is very much appreciated.

❤️ A Heartfelt Thank You to Our School Community ❤️

A huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone in our wonderful school community for making this year’s Book Fair such a fantastic success!

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity and enthusiasm shown throughout the week. Every book purchased has not only helped support a love of reading but has also helped our school library grow.

Thanks to your amazing support, we sold nearly $9500 in books and have earned just over $2,800 in commission, which will be spent on new books for our library!

This means we can add lots of exciting new titles to our shelves for our students to discover, enjoy and share.

I would also like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped with the Book Fair, particularly those who supported and helped during Grandparents Day. I am so incredibly grateful for your help, support and willingness to jump in and make everything run so smoothly. Your support was very much appreciated and helped make the Book Fair such a wonderful success!

Thank you for helping us keep our library shelves filled with wonderful stories, adventures, information and inspiration. Your support truly makes a difference!

Keep reading, keep discovering, and keep falling in love with books! ❤️

Happy Reading!

Exciting Grade 6 Sporting Achievements This Week…

Our netball team was made up of Jasmine, Alicia, Georgia, Poppy C, Abby B, Indi McQ, Eliza, Olivia, Hazel and Zoe. Indi Mck was also part of our team but couldn’t make it on the day.

Unfortunately, we didn’t progress to the next level, but we still had a great day and showed lots of resilience throughout all of our games. A big highlight was getting to spend the day together as a team, playing netball and having an awesome time.

We showed great teamwork by supporting each other and hyping each other up, even when we made mistakes. We kept encouraging one another and stayed positive throughout the day.

A big thank you to all of the umpires, coaches and supporters who helped make the day possible. We would especially like to thank Amy for coaching us and giving up her time to help us improve and further develop our netball skills!
