Principal's Report On behalf of the students and staff at Emerald Primary School, I am proud to announce that our School Captains    for 2023 are: Judd Clarke Dakota Brown Lewis Garratt Madeleine Bucci This year again we have 4 Captains, rather than 2 Captains and 2 Vice Captains, so that the workload and responsibility can be shared. Principal's Report Bookings are now open for the Parent-Teacher Connect Meetings on Thursday 16th February, running from 12.30pm to 8pm. This year the meetings will be in-person and you can book times via Compass. Students are dismissed at 12pm on the day, but we are able to supervise students from then until 3.30pm if you are not able to  collect your children earlier. Please advise your child's teacher or the Office Staff, or send an email to : emerald.ps@education.vic.gov.au, if you need to have your child/children stay until 3.30pm. Principal's Report As we head into this new school year, it is a great time to reflect and plan forward for what we would like to achieve as a school community this year. The focus for EPS this year will be on embedding our spelling approach in English lessons, continuing our focus on number skills and student-lead problem-solving in Mathematics, strengthening our student wellbeing program through further implementation of the Respectful Relationships program as a Lead School, and building on our extended, more regular communication with parents and carers about student learning progress via Learning Tasks. Principal's Report How wonderful to be back at school this week with all of our students and staff! The excitement and energy is fantastic, as we look towards a great year ahead full of learning and lots of fun!
