Our Junior school is a targeted program tailored to each educational stage. At Emerald Primary School students are encouraged and supported to become resilient and independent learners. The students at Emerald Primary School are well-rounded with a love for learning.
Emerald Primary School draws upon their Pre-school, kinder and childcare experiences. At our school we begin the journey to further shape and help our students understand, master and apply core skills and concepts.
At the core of our Junior school is our Explicit Teaching Model. This provides the best possible start for all students. Explicit Teaching engages students, and explores the core skills of literacy and numeracy.
Our Junior school student development is managed through a combination of assessment, results analysis and goal setting that together set a path of continual improvement and provide intellectual challenge.
The mental, physical and emotional wellbeing of every student at Emerald Primary School is at the heart of all that we do.
Emerald’s approach to student welfare is both proactive and reactive. The proactive response in Junior School is based around a ‘wellbeing’ curriculum which encompasses respect, emotional regulation, social skills, cyber-safety and child-safe lessons.
Emerald also has access to a school chaplain to support students at our school.
