Starting school is a wonderful milestone for families, it marks the beginning of a child’s education and it is important that strong foundations for life-long learning is developed at this time. At Emerald Primary School we highly value the importance of students making their start at school as successful as possible. To do this we run a transition program aimed at making your child’s pathway from Kindergarten to Primary School an enjoyable and smooth experience.
Our Kinder to Prep Transition Program commences with orientation sessions in Term 4 during November and December. These sessions are run at school and offer many opportunities which aim to encourage children and families to become familiar with and excited about their transition to Emerald Primary school. It is our intention to build confidence in all of the children and to make beginning school both comfortable and enticing.
