Principal's Report As per recent notifications to families, we have been working through a process to try to put a Before School and After School Care provider in place for students to access a care program onsite at EPS, for the start of Term 4. Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey offered by the Department of Education and is seeking your feedback. Principal's Report As with many of our Emerald Primary School families, we were surprised and disappointed to hear that the before school and after school care program would not be continuing after the end of this term. We were initially told it would be at the end of the year. Since hearing of the potential closure of the program, I have been beginning the process with the Department of Education to see if we can run a similar program ourselves, or accommodate a program on our school grounds. Principal's Report Everyone may have noticed that the “Spider” climbing frame has been removed from the Adventure playground as it had been vandalised and was unsafe. Principal's Report A reminder that we are having a free dress day this Friday 26th July to celebrate the start of the Olympics! No gold coin donation necessary. Students can wear the green and gold, or dress in their favourite sport, or as their favourite athlete! Principal's Report So much happening this term for our EPS students! This term we are looking forward to our special visits with Murrundindi during NAIDOC Week, our Olympic Games dress-up day, lots of sporting events and Grade 6 Production for Grade 6 students, 100 Days of Prep learning, Book Week and Science Week! Our Grade 4 students will also be participating in a program called “Zones of Regulation”, to support their emotional wellbeing and resilience, and Grade 6 students will be working through a Kids Helpline activity called “Peer Pressure” and with a representative from Optus on Cyber [...]
