On behalf of our School Community I would like to welcome you to Emerald Primary School.

As stated in our charter, our school aims to provide a safe, supportive and positive environment where learning is activity based and builds upon the children’s strengths.  Our school programs encourage risk taking, problem solving, creativity, cooperative learning and independence.  At all times opinions and effort are valued.

Our highly professional and dedicated staff works effectively to provide a comprehensive education for all students.  A range of teaching methods and strategies cater for individual learning differences.  Teachers are constantly updating their knowledge and skills through participation in professional development programs conducted both during and out of school hours.

Our school grounds are well maintained and in recent years have undergone significant upgrades to ensure that students have safe and stimulating surroundings for play and sporting pursuits.  The school gardens feature an attractive mix of native and introduced plants.

Parents are welcome partners at Emerald Primary School and many opportunities are available for your participation in school life through School Council, Parent Group, Education Committee or through direct/indirect classroom involvement.

We take pride in the role of the school in the local community and community groups are actively encouraged to utilise our excellent school facilities.  Likewise our students are traditionally involved in many local community events and activities.
